1. ) SUCCESS STORIES FROM THE COUNSELORS OFFICE
Many of you know that I can be a bit neurotic when it comes to exercising. My alarm sounds at 5:00 A.M. and I’m off to the gym and I’ve been doing this 5 days a week, every week, for years now. But a client of mine has me beat.
This client is someone I do a bit of life coaching with and we’ve worked on the weight loss and health piece using the power programming method. Almost immediately after she did her first session of power programming she went out and bought a treadmill. That was months ago and as of yesterday she has not missed a single day of the treadmill. That’s right, she is on that treadmill 7 days a week. Pretty impressive!

5. GUEST ARTICLE: Roller Coaster Dieting
By Tim Grimsley
Losing weight has almost become a fad today the amount of people who are on a diet on any given day is mind boggling. The problem is that most people who go on diets actually plan to fail. We have become accustomed to the diet roller coaster, getting on to ride the next new fad diet.
Many studies show that more than two-thirds of all American adults are over weight. It’s no wonder that people who are overweight become interested into various commercial diet plans and weight loss programs that are available in the market today. Food and nutrition experts say that most obese people who are into strict diet and improper dieting have developed have a long history of dieting failure because they always go back to their usual eating and lifestyle habits. There are a few things that we can do to improve the results and get off of the roller coaster.
Do not eat between meals, EVER, especially after 6:00 pm. If you absolutely must eat something, nibble on a piece of raw fruit or a couple of raw vegetables. Drink lots and lots of water. Water forces your body to run more efficiently, flushes harmful toxins out of your body, speeds up metabolism, and makes it easier to lose weight and burn fat. Try to exercise 20 minutes. Aerobic exercises have the greatest fat-burning potential. The best examples are walking (the easiest), swimming, bicycling, skating, and jogging. If you diet without participating in any exercise, your weight loss will be much slower.
Although diet can be an effective means of losing weight, experts say that not all weight loss diets and programs can be successful. This is because some diets target the dieter’s weakness and make them believe that they can eat certain amount of foods when in fact, these can contribute much to their weight gain.

a mechanic too busy to take care of his tools.
